Transit Action Group

The Transit Action Group (TAG) is pushing City Council to work towards Frequent, Electric & Fare-free public transit in Hamilton.

The Transit Action Group (TAG) was formed in partnership with our allies at Hamilton 350 during the last Municipal election. The team carried out a successful campaign asking candidates to pledge to form a Committee of Council that would study the feasibility of a Frequent, Electric and Fare-Free Hamilton Street Railway (HSR). In all, almost thirty candidates signed the pledge, six of whom were elected to council, including the Mayor.

The group is now focussed on ensuring those who pledged during the municipal campaign follow through on their commitment to form the committee; to that end we're delgating, expanding our allyship, and engaging with the public.
